Selling Your Current Home

Most of our new construction buyers have another property to sell in conjunction with their move into a new construction home. When dealing with new construction, builders have their processes and deadlines subject to revisions and changes. This is based upon municipality rules and regulations, vendor and/or supply issues, their own project flow with their own internal organizations and other time frame altering issues. Completion deadlines for your new home are dynamic and could likely change even up to the last minute. This presents a very unique situation when having to coordinate selling a home.

  • Workback schedule timelines for contract negotiation and acceptance, contract amendments, settlement dates, vacating, and final moving.

Melissa started her Real Estate career in her early 20s working in a Real Estate office and then becoming one of the first buyer agents in Virginia.  Real Estate was something that came natural to her as her Mother was a Broker Owner of a Real Estate franchise from early childhood. Using the skills and leveraging mentors throughout the first 10 years of practice, Melissa became one of the top Realtors in the USA. Melissa offers a world of experience with over 30 years and thousands of clients. At the top of her resale career, Melissa sold over 130 homes in one year. A Mother of 4 boys and her first of many grandchildren, many call Melissa Momma Bear. Melissa has had several Foster Children and many other young adults who called her home a safe haven. Melissa earned her title as Momma Bear from the adoptive family she helped. However, she is known to fight for her clients and serve as a protective force.  Melissa and her husband of 28 years also run a non-profit that works with Vets and Young Men to train them in the construction trades offering them a  lifetime of improvement. Melissa enjoys section hiking the Appalachian Trail, solo camping, and riding her stand-up jet ski around the Public Side of Lake Anna.
